I think we saw AI's Idol Gives Back five or six times until the weekend. The effect? LSS (last song syndrome). One favorite is Rent's Seasons of Love, sang by the finalists at one time during the show.

Repeated twice, the first line goes, "Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes..." I was doing the remainder of our laundry while Vincent was playing the song in the computer.

Me: "Bingko, ga'no kaya katagal 'yang (how long is) 525,600 minutes?"

Vincent: "O' nga 'no?!"

Me: "Sige nga! Compute natin (let's compute)...60 minutes is to 1 hour. I-multiply mo 'yung 60 sa 24, tapos 'yung product no'n ang gawin mong divisor sa (you make the product your divisor for) 525,600."

Vincent: "Alam mo mahal 'ko (you know my love) I love you so much, but you are speaking in a language I don't know." (MATH! What else?! Hehehe)

Me: "Hehehe...60 x 24 = answer. 525,600 divided by the answer."

Vincent (after computing): "Ay! Isang taon (it's just one year)!"

We felt punked! Had we listened a bit more, we'd figure out the answer without even calculating. The next line goes, "...how do you measure, measure a YEAR?" Hehehe.
